Unlike the 17 year secular bull that started in August, 1982 with a smart pickup in volume, rates were through the roof then totally opposite where they are now. But of course the one undeniable similarity between then and now assuming we are in the early stages of a secular bull is the sentiment. The number of those calling for the imminent correction. That might be a while.
