I think the hunt is often more rewarding in the fun it creates than eating the catch.

For investing, just having an explore portfolio to keep you engaged bottom fishing so you can let your core work.... is probably more valuable than actually beating the market. Cramer seems to have "stolen" this idea and now calls it a "club" and claims he's recommended index funds for the majority all along.
