When we sold our homes on 6/22/2017 and drove to Nevada from NYC during the third week of June, I liquidated all my positions in my retirement accounts because I couldn't track the markets or follow them properly. I did want to enjoy the journey with no overhangs. Also, I was concerned that if I needed to hedge my portfolio, I may not have been able to, pending on my location and lack of data connection, since we were planning to do some camping. But that was just a temporary phenomenon. As soon as we got settled in to our new place about 10 business days later, I established some new positions and reestablished some old positions. I certainly didn't go to cash because I turned bearish, like you have for the past 5 years parroting SPX 1458. I was in International/Global funds for almost all of the third quarter and for a good portion of this year.
