I don't believe there is any competition in SCSI host adapter area at least as of today. BusLogic dissappered ever since they merged into Mylex. Mylex is in disk array business. Future Domain is part of Adaptec for more than 2 years. Asus is a mother board manufacturer and is using Adaptec's chips and boards.NEC? never herad of NEC SCSI host adapter. However, IMHO, sub-1000 PC is a real problem for Adaptec because EIDE is running at higher and higher speed these days. Chitao
