GE:

I covered this some in my newsletter but I think the could recover much like HP recovered after Carly ruined it by buying Compaq at the very top and paying more attention to her hair and team of stylists that followed her around than engineering (pissing off most who worked there).... ALL the pieces they sold off as IPOs did great but the best went to investment bankers for cash (AVGO/Broadcom) so we were screwed in that perhaps just as we only got cash to repurchase EXPENSIVE GE shares when it spun-off Syncrony Bank.
I see a number of posts about GE.....I own some and will likely add to my position post earnings. They have new leadership that is headed in the right direction. I hope they are kept in the DOW Industrials. The recovery of GE is complex and there is not much use in guessing how things play out (too many moving parts).
Like HP buying Compaq at the top, GE bought some industries at their tops too. Perhaps with higher oil prices and missals raining over Syria, these are worth more than they were a week or two ago.
