I do know that it you take SS at 70 you will break even when attaining the age of 82.5.



Bob it all comes down to the above. Take one of the comprehensive questionnaires to estimate your odds of reaching 82.5. Northwestern Mutual Life once had a very good one called the Longevity Game, but they have watered it down so much that I would not recommend it now. Living to 100 is the most comprehensive I know of.
