Tim,

Nicely put. By way of disclosure, I'm a registered securities rep, former engineer and educator. I have in the past owned and profitted from a position in Systemsoft. It is a company with talent, drive and motivation and long term shareholders will likely do well. Having said that, when giving advice to my clients, peers and students it's necessary to urge caution. On a relative merit basis, one would rather own a company with a superior balance sheet, demonstrable earnings and a P/E multiple that's 1/7 of its nearest competitor.

In the short run there's no correlation between a company's "success" and its stock price. In the long run there is a perfect correlation between a company's "success" and its stock price. So I guess you have to ask yourself which security as a superior risk/reward profile? I know and hope most of you do too!
