Back ON topic:

I saw 2 stories recently that aroused my curiosity.

1) WFR purchased a company that "polishes the edges of wafers"(?)

2) A recent quote on the fastest growing tech company quoted
their CEO "Roger McDaniel."

Do any of the learned readers of this thread know of either story?
If so, why is a shiny edge a big deal on such a thin object? Is this
OUR former Roger McDaniel that is leading a different company from the dregs to the pinnacles of stock price?
