Hi Bob,...Is history repeating itself???

In 1930 Hoover was President (Republican) and the Republicans controlled the Senate (56 to 39) and the House (267 to 163)....

To protect American jobs stiff tariffs were put in place to protect the American economy.

The idea that a strong nation needs a strong dollar made matters worse.

The idea that Germany should pay for the costs of WW1.....seemed a reasonable notion. (winners make the rules)

The political idea expressed when I was in grade school was......"it doesn't make any difference who is President, because Republicans bring us depression and the Democrats bring the country into War."

I have wondered why current Republicans don't call out Trump for his frequent lies, or for his misguided economic policies. Politicians (DEMS and Republicans) with no backbone are a detriment to the country.
