Hi Pjr, I agree completely with your response. I think a lot of the trade imbalance was not just political incompetence. For several decades the outsourcing of our manufacturing had the intended effect of downsizing unions . Unions that had greed overcrowding good business sense in many cases. The percent of workers in a union is now less than 7 % and many of the largest unions are with in the government - figures. The shifting of manufacturing elsewhere - shipped a lot of pollution out of our water and air. With the advent of Artificial Intelligence and how it will be coupled with robotics with the internet of things communicating down line in an robotic assembly line - much of that production will be cheaper to run, even cheaper than inhumanely low wages out in some sweat box factory in an emerging market . Pollution devices have evolved and much of the "Dirty " manufacturing can be done here in the USA and not pollute like they do do in runaway pollution like we see in China! It is out air they are polluting also! It will take time,and there will be lags. It will slowly get the USA in a position of great self sufficiency. It will slowly build the USA as a greater power house to respect and hopefully invite competition and global prosperity that exceeds our current poorly agreed to situation. No other countries will not like it - much like a spoiled kid we're going to hear some whining from those who are on the sweet side of the deals and the politicians who received money to make it unfair - will lose that financial payola and be very critical of any moves that take money power away from them. AFTERALL IT IS JUST PART OF DRAINING THE SWAMP - GOD'S SPEED !! DJT!! Bob
