I'd say the return on saved money should be at least 1-2 percent over the inflation rate
I said it in a previous post....The FED is an independent government agency that does its best to stabilize our economic system. Your idea for monetary policy would be highly inflationary.

So even if the head of the FED is changed all policy matters are put to a vote. The head of the FED gets one vote. There will be no radical change in FED policy,...no matter who is the head of the FED.
