I'm in no way defending Serina but the management of Tennis Inc is really stupid. She is a HUGE draw so you would think they would treat her like one. But no.

It started when she came back from having a baby. You can't just pick up with the ranking you left with. No, you have to start over. What? Don't they want a HUGE draw in the finals? Are they nuts? She puts butts in the seats and draws eyeballs to the ads

It's a business and they treat it like it's a little amateur get together.

I don't know. Maybe they understand Tennis People better than I do. Seems crazy to me.
