There are probably many ways to define that elusive human phenomenon we call humor but I will try here... Humor is a narrative that allows everyone to share a common memory, and then the punch line take us in a different direction and exposes the underbelly weakness of all human folly... Slapstick is almost always funny in film or on stage, but most slapstick in real life is not funny... As human beings, all of us already are hardwired to recognize humor, it really doesn't need to be defined although what we do find as truly and honestly humorous and comical typically fits the above definition of what humor really is... So, share with us something comical but please be intellectually honest about it that it is funny... Sure even political humor can be very funny, and self effacing humor is funny, we so often see politicians make fun of themselves during those annual dinner roasts or annual dinner gatherings, but their humor is always clean and honest and not vicious or malicious... So, post anything you think is funny but please be sure it's honest and respectful and not just slinging crap, if you read this far into this introduction then you're certainly smart enough to know what this means so please comply... Also, if you have another good definition of what humor really is, then let me know and I will add it to this header with you SI nick name attached to it...
