I some times womder about the different distinctions. It would seem the core knowhow of MU should be similar to a TSM valued at 4x MU and 3-5x the multiple (so similar earnings today).

Or look at AMD. Started in logic. Had a memory piece that went nuts during early ipod days. I think they sold that. Then they added "low tech" graphics biz that became pretty high end (see NVDA more so). And then catch up to INTC in some ways.

My understanding is lots of guys design own chips then outsource to TSM and Samsung to make. Seems that these big fabs benefit from this. MU might benefit and if not in current form , a merger might help drive this. Interesting.
