Me too.... Jim Harbaugh fan from his Stanford and 49ers days.

Then root for Cal to beat the Beavers. Have both on live on the DVR, switching between games so I don't have to watch commercials and DISH has a 30 sec skip-forward button that allows you to get through much of the blather between plays.

It is 66F outside now so I feel sort of guilty watching football rather than getting out...maybe I'll do both and take good advantage of the DRV.
I like the 2-tier system countries like Australia and Singapore offer. It provides a basic level of service for everyone, with the option to "buy up" a premium service.

I think something like that would be great. There needs to be rewards for working hard AND being successful. EVERYONE gets police protection but if you are very successful, you hire your own security team also....

I think we need to change how we pay for it.... Government should pay a fixed amount per person that hospital groups can bid on to compete. This would mean the hospitals don't get rich by having 10 knee replacements and 25 stents a day.... they make more money by having FEWER knee replacements and stents... keep people healthy.... and get paid for doing it well. Of course we need to figure out how to prevent them from only taking healthy people... maybe they can't refuse anyone and we can't go to cheaper hospitals until we nee something then we switch to the ones with better surgeons, etc.... complicated.
