I was playing that game in the 90'S. And as you know if you came in early enough it was not hard to do 10X for a bunch of them. That was a far cry of the past with the old names where one worked like crazy to get a double. I try to have an understanding of anything I play. If I do not.. I tend to avoid and as a result when a broker asked me way back if I wanted 20k shares of EBAY at 25. I said.. I'll pass. As most know it scooted to the high 50's and then retraced most of the gains to spin and my oh my what that stock did in 4 years ish was something else making MEG a very wealthy gal. I forget how many splits it put in but those 20k shares would have turned out to be X thousands at Y and wow.

So those were the days. Here and now I really don't have a sense of what's next. I was fortunate to catch the nugt and a 5 x. I had previously caught a few calls for 5X. GE and BAC. The cores did well but not in such a short time frame.

Yet 5X is NOT 10 X or 20X or 200X.

During the 90's there were MANY that did 10X. And off the lows of 2009 there were MANY that did 3-5 X. DELL was HUGE from it's IPO to it's peak.

GOING forward. YUP I don't see AMZON doubling from it's peak. However if they were to yank it back deep enough and there in may be the secret going forward: I.E to determine the pull back and then consider 100% from that point. OR consider the pull back and then consider a CALL LEAP that can be tied to the hip of a stock one is familiar to then catch 1/2/3/5 TIMES. That is what I'm shooting for with JPM. Yank it down and then I'll load up with call leaps.

Still I don't see in my life time another period such as the 90's or the 2009-2019. I don't think its due to my age or lack of vision. I think it's because there is so much to work thru and it's harder and harder to be a MSFT from inception.

BUT for those who are YOUNG. YA never know. Maybe it's some stock that helps ya just think of doing something and it's done. TWT
