It still blows me away what people are paying for autos and homes.
I visited my old chevy dealership just yesterday. I asked what's being sold Full size Trucks and SUV's of all sizes" was the response. That's where all domestic dealers are selling. Denali's are 75-80 grand, Cadillac Escalades are over 100 grand. My F&I manager just shook his head and said , some people roll out of my office with 1400 a month payments and 72 months to do it!
I guess that doesn't make the Teslas running $50K for cheap Model 3 to $100K+ for fully loaded Model S look that expensive.

Someone in my 24hr Fitness club has a Lamborghini SUV... $200K I believe if you can find one. More than double what I paid for my first home, a 3b.2.5b townhome in Sunnyvale... in 1984!
.
I find it hard to reset inflation / cost benchmarks. There are major times in my life where I remember buying my first car, first home, cost of eating out at various times too...

I'm still trying to get over paying $15 to $20 for burger and fries if you expect to sit down and have it served to you. It seems not long ago I could buy nice lunches most places for well under $10 with tax and tip... then I remember that was 20 or 30 or 40 years ago!

Damn it is tough getting old, but it sure beats the alternative!
