Can you give an example of what you are proposing for Tesla using real numbers and show how you profit with time decay? Here is a table showing some TSLA options, near and long.

You can see in my 2nd table that I sold a covered LRCX call for a profit but had to hold on to the stock with the capital locked up until it was called between $30 and $35...

To be honest, I haven't paid attention to options since I sold a $17.50 call on LRCX for $2.40 in 2003 after buying at $11.90 in late 2002.

My recollection is I hated having the capital tied up in the stock that I could have used elsewhere after it passed my profit taking point... so I haven't done options since, but I'm willing to learn new stuff to keep the brain sharp and you sure have a good handle on it.

Thanks in advance!
