Tesla.. now BYND - Beyond Meat Inc. coming out of the IPO at up over 100%. Great ideas that are good for people and the planet... but HUGE competition and neither are profitable. It feels like "when the fish are biting, feed them" has moved from up selling fancy dorm/apartment rooms to clueless kids with taxpayer backed student loans to selling them stock in "good for the planet" ideas. or am I too cynical? FWIW, I LOVE meat but would love to eat less and get the same flavor. BYND gets the cow and pig out of the photon capturing device (green plants) to final protein chain... to save on all the carbon released to the atmosphere and all the saturated fat that is supposed to be killing us. The idea we don't have to kill life that moves around on its own to enjoy food is commendable too. My best buddy is this way... Asian Indian atheist who drinks alcohol but won't eat protein that can move around on its own out of respect for life. I admire that....
