On another topic. Think these minor observations are worth sharing with you guys. Gold and PM equities are moving away from a decades long seasonal pattern ever since 2007/2008.

Don't get me wrong. NEVER use one or even 2 indicators. Always a basket of them. As a retired professional stock investor/trader (since 2012) don't often review a lot of the tools that work for a decades long career. Once in a while do notice a pattern, cycle or trend, change worth mentioning. Not coming to any big picture conclusions here. Just a starting point for a little brainstorming that could lead to something a little more weighty

(disclaimer: not owned any PM equities for a long time.

All the best,

Iso

First the seasonal price cycle in force for 40 yrs:

Now, look as the pattern of peaks in early October and/or year end/early 1st qtr. Look how much that cycle has changed since 2007/2008 Don't think there's any single reason for this shift. Perhaps we can dig into the factors which have impacted the price equation in this way, another time.
