As a former high-tech marketing weasel myself, you've got my wholehearted agreement here! Some Adaptec products, like "SlimSCSI" and "MiniSCSI" have identifiable "warm 'n fuzzy" names that might be remembered. But, "AHA-2940U2W" speaks to techies only.

To buy customer mindshare and customer preference, they're going to have to do better in this regard. "AHA-2940U2W Inside" just isn't catchy enough.
