Jim: If I get a response to my email to Adaptec, I will post it. Were Adaptec to start calling their adaptors by recognizable names, I imagine the marketing investment would be worth it. How much would it cost to make the changes, I wonder? Seems it would be worth it just for the news copy it would generate: "Adaptec launches marketing initiative for major products named after mountains. Host adapter xyz now called Annapurna." For what it's worth.
