SCI BEAT ESTIMATES............. Zacks 4Q96 earnings $0.49 vs press release $0.44........ dailystocks.net biz.yahoo.com IBES estimate $0.53..... quicken.excite.com Bottom line -- Zacks is still using PRIMARY EPS for estimates, not DILUTED EPS (per FAS128-new standard). The notable difference for SCI evolves from the convertible debentures that are NOT included in the old PRIMARY EPS, but are included in the new DILUTED EPS. In other words, Zacks is worthless!
