Yes but HK has been called Freedom Rock.. Mainland can be viewed as a river... HK was stolen from China by a bunch of British drug dealers sponsored by Britain backed by the might of the British Royal Navy.. at close of second Opium War.. whose purpose was the high and mighty purchase of cheap tea for their scones (scones are my speculation) at the expense of hooking millions of Chinese on opium.. It was dastardly of the Chinese government of the time to take offense at this practice I imagine.. heavy sarcasm... While I sympathasize with the HKers and have cousins there.. in the end HK is part of China.. and China is no longer an outgunned nation to be made to accede to the wishes of others.. That's life... As Mr. Trump is finding out on trade.. I truly do hope cooler heads prevail.. in the end I speculate Message 24077383 as I did a dozen years ago... Note the poster in the linked message figured Britain was altruistically supporting the rights of Chinese nationals to become drug addicts his words.. I guess :)
