Yes and I've grown peas too. Cooked properly, nice and crunchy, they are delicious. Frozen peas boiled to slimy goo in a shell that I was forced to eat as a kid taste like crap.

My favorite peas are Chinese "Snow peas" travelchinaguide.com

I bet garlic snow peas with clams would be exceptional!
