A rule-of-thumb for me is for most companies that I'm interested in buying the IPOs for should reach a peak IPO value then crash about 50% or more a year or more later during a bear market when the sell side folks sink their teeth into the valuation... THEN I consider buying shares, especially if at or below the actual IPO price, not the opening price.

Funny is I chickened out on Tesla after its first crash due to lack of a vision to profitability without Porsche, BMW, Ford, GM, Toyota and the Koreans figuring out how to do the same for a lower price and established dealer network.... I was right for the fundamentals but wrong on underestimating the demand by the clueless for environmental friendly scams.... Beyond Meat is another.... almost as if someone in a tower cooks up ideas to sell the stupid using politicians (Al Gore) as their spokesmen...
