HI Kirk, I have never made a penny on the sale of real estate. Now as a GM corporate Gypsie, I moved when the company said move. That was in fact why I no longer work for GM. They just flippantly said "View it as investment in your career". My response was "This may shock you, but I came to work for GM for a paycheck NOT A DONATION FROM MY FAMILIES WEALTH". They said I had a bad attitude. Thus the beginning of my retail work experience. <smile> Best thing ever happened to me! At any rate ,I learned early on that real estate is a long cycle purchase. There is a time to buy and there is a time to sell. Surely now is a time to sell ! I know you love your sailing, but there are so many clear water lakes in this country and you could live literally like a king. To put up with derelicts camping on your front door, traffic congestion - literally robbing your living time, and taxes that are just crazy full of tricks, and valuations off the charts - I'd clip that great big life time coupon and never look back. It seems unsafe for your well being to risk being in such a hell hole. Just off the top of head - I live on Lake Woodlands and you can sail in the warm water year around. How about Lake Tahoe? Slidell Louisiana. Hundreds of beautiful lakes in the everglades or pristine clear water rivers. Throw in a 60 foot hatteras and go fishing in world class fisheries in the Gulf of Mexico. You get the idea - time to be open minded! Rant over ! Now about the market <smile> I think clx turns today or tomorrow.
