A few years ago we were skiing in the Canadian Rockies and there was 6 or 8 dudes from New York, who flew to Calgary, then rented big SUV's to continue their journey into the Rockie mountains where the ski resorts are located. We happened to be at the same bar one night and watched a disagreement at the pool table over who's turn to play. The Canadian guy lost the argument and said, "well I'm taking my loonie back." (a loonie is a Canadian $1 coin). The New York dude said, in his best New York accent, "take your fucking loonie and fuck off." Me and my buddies, sitting within earshot of the table, all just about died laughing.
