I don't know if the first conversations she recorded, the ones she initially took to Starr, would be admissable in court. But I'm not too worried, because there are plenty that were definitly legal (ie had the blessing of FBI and Ken Starr, whose jurisdiction overrides any state laws against taping. I wonder if there is a legal difference between recording a conversation and wiretapping. I would think there is. And the instance involving the FL couple recording Newt was wiretapping, and I don't remember reading anything about them being indicted for it, but I may just have missed it. I doubt it made the front pages. After all, they're democratic party insiders.
