Yes, really, rat cooked over an open campfire is delicious, it tastes a lot like smoked brisket, just tell yourself you're eating smoked brisket, but with a lot of little bones in it, the ears and feet get crunchy, not too bad...
Now, here's a wonderful story for you...
Some years ago we were traveling through Turkey and we stopped in Istanbul to see the grand bizaar and the big blue mosque that was there in the center of the city, frankly the mosque was a dirty place and had a stench throughout, it smelled like a filthy toilet, the reek was so strong it made us gag, and there were people in there praying, I guess it didn't bother them unless the people were the ones that stunk, but I think it was the place itself and the people just didn't notice it...
But, that wasn't my point... while we there were in Istanbul, we stopped at a local KFC for some fried chicken... we had a bucket of chicken and then after we ate all the pieces in the bucket, we decided to put all the bones together to see if we can reconstruct the chicken...
We put all the bones together and it was not a chicken, it was a dog... we just looked at each other and wondered what the hell...
After lunch, we went to a carpet store located in the grand bizaar, the guy there tried to sell us a flying carpet, true story... I asked if I could take it for a test ride, he said I would first have to buy it...
We couldn't get out of Turkey fast enough... this was years ago, today it would be unthinkable to go there, such a disgusting place...
