These topping patterns that have formed are deadly and not to be trifled with. XOM has a 5 year head start on the coming Bear Market, and at anytime, they're subject to more bad news, dividend cuts, and earnings disappointments. Those high current dividends can serve as a lure to trap investors into staggering capital losses over the coming years. Just be careful my friend and ask yourself if you'd be comfortable owning the shares at your current basis if they fell to $15 to $20 per share with a $1.50 per/share annual dividend.

Speaking of megaphones, we had a real doozy form on the SPX in late Nov/early Dec. it projects to only 3381, so I expect some sort of tradable reaction lower from that price level before surging higher toward the 3420 and 3450 final targets.
