There were several big name tech stocks that had similar trajectories in the 1990s and burned out before he tech bubble crashed. I think Netflix and Yahoo! were two names. Luuuuuuuuuuuuucent was another but it burned out after the telecom bubble collapsed. Even Palm burned bright and fizzled.

There were also some Biotechs in the 1980s that also had similar charts... Genentech being one that survived but was bought or merged....

My guess is your energy stocks will outperform in the next 3 to 5 yrs but I'm not betting against maniacs who buy mania stocks. It could take 10 or 20 years to ring out the excesses just as it took time for AMAT, Cisco, and several others to lose their HUGE market premiums and sell as value stocks.
