I have pictures of Market Street in San Francisco from after my grandfather was born where there are more horses and people walking on the street than cars. My guess is we will eventually get better batteries plus working, economical, clean nuclear fusion reactors that will make "burning stuff" for most transportation and home heating obsolete. Probably after you and I are gone but some will push to have it happen sooner. Today, cars are banned on a portion of Market Street sf.curbed.com
