?? Carmel Valley near San Diego?? One of my brothers lived there and had their wedding in their yard. Carmel Valley is next to Monterey, much closer to San Francisco (about 90 minutes from my house near Stanford) than San Diego. Very beautiful...
I'm also very familiar with your state, have family in Carmel Valley just north of downtown San Diego and close to the ocean.

San Diego is pretty too... much warmer than Carmel but Carmel Valley gets quite warm in the summer until fog rolls in.

I believe the final straw for me to double down in IBM stock was when you hired Gallagher to smash watermelons at Wescon in Vegas! It was to symbolize all the IBMers showing up in IBM polo shirts like me rather than white shirts and ties!

I was there the first time to work with and socialize with the IBM Thinkpad project manager who was going to put in our IrDA link in their laptops to get over the hump until Bluetooth prices would eventually be cheaper. All the IBMers were so stiff... then the next year polo shirts and Gallagher!
