| | | Mindmeld, I'd like to take one quote out of that article you posted:
Anyway, the question that both my daughter and I had was why the authorities did not sweep this guy up off of the street. Clearly he was armless, hungry and out of his mind. This is exactly the question that I hear OVER and OVER and OVER again. "Why isn't anything done?" Up and down the west coast, from Seattle to Portland to San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, and Ventura, everyone who are forced to deal with the homeless keeps asking the same question over and over again.
Why isn't anything done?
Why don't the police do anything?
Why doesn't the city do anything?
I told a story of my wife having to deal with a homeless guy in San Jose: Message 32550960
My wife had to go to a government office building in San Jose to get a business permit, and she had to deal with homeless people who were accosting her. She can't take any chances, for most homeless people suffer from mental issues and any one of them could just attack her at any moment.
She tried getting the help of a police officer, only to be told that the police are not allowed to do anything unless a crime actually occurs.
And this is the snarky response I get from Wharfie: Message 32551151
I blame you for complaining about the potential threat to your wife from crazy street people, but having no plan to improve the situation. What an asshole. Unless I have some sort of plan to improve the situation (which I do, but Wharfie isn't interested in hearing it, of course), I'm not allowed to complain about the potential threat to my wife.
This is the kind of attitude that libtards here in California have when it comes to dealing with the homeless. Do nothing and blame others when they complain about the threat to public health and safety.
You see it right here on this forum, and you see it in our local and state politicians.
Shit like this is why Trump is president.
