TP is a quality of life issue. Sure you can clean up in the shower if you run low but most don't think that way, especially if a family. I think the fear is what if they cut off the Bay Area from outside supplies since we have several confirmed cases here including two at schools close enough for me to hike to.

My GF and her ma got their rice at the Asian supermarket yesterday. Expensive organic version... I didn't ask if their regular brand was out. I won't buy food for them as 90% of the time they find something to complain about...

With the chance of fire and earth quakes, adding supplies for a possible COVID-19 isolation is just one more on the list.
