>>I'd hate to see what you Americans would do if your President had done a bad job of running the country. Low inflation, Low interest rates, Low unemployment, declining drug use, declining violent crime rate... the list goes on.<<

Surething, just what country are you from? I agree, the Pres has done a great job.

>>I personally think your whole system is whacko to let some trumped up lawyer operate his very own Starr Chamber to crucify your highest elected official.<<

System is a bit whacko, but it is always harder to understand a political system if it is not your native country. Cultural differences and all that. I agree that Starr is lloking for the "truth" just about as much as Clinton is gay.

>>Well the jokes and headlines were all very funny... But... Why are you folks allowing this crap to happen to your President!!!! Have your brains all turned to mush????<<

Well, the Pres has some responsibility for his actions in this. Personally I think his lying to the American people is worse than lying under oath in a silly civil case. Although of course Presidents lie to their people all the time. They are just not so stupid about it.

>>Let him admit to the affair and then you can all get on with your own sin free lives. Remember: Let he who casts the first stone....and all that.<<

Yes, a good reminder to some posters on this thread!!!

>>Give Clinton a break and get on with your lives...Lying about an affair is not a freaken crime!!!<<

Unfortunately lying under oath and witness tampering (even in a civil trial) is a crime--although it is very rarely prosecuted. Still the President does have a very special public trust and should be held to a higher ethical standard than the general populace. It is a very complex situation, but if the charges are true, his ability to govern has been seriously diminished and resignation is probably the best thing for the nation.
