Andrew, I as a Canadian am amazed how an Independent Persecutor can make the leap from the Whitewater affair into the alleged private affair between the President and Ms Lewinsky.

Why does Starr have such power? Who gave it to him? Please don't say the constitution because that is a red herring.

And for all the scandals of the past Clinton still had a 62% approval rating as late as last Thursday. Please don't throw out that smokescreen about special public trust because the American public liked the way the President ran the affairs of the nation and tolerated his pecadellos. You Americans are more tolerant and sophisticated that you give yourselves credit for.

This Coup D'Etat -for that is what this is - has been engineered by some special interest groups who don't give a shit about you or your ethical standards. Wake up and smell the coffee you guys. Just don't smell it at a certain Washington Starbucks.
