Thanks. It is boring staying safe but it makes sense. I've skipped two yoga classes, one today, that I normally go to. Also, we're not going out to eat for our regular Sunday date activity today since we both have tiny coughs.

I've been doing some research to see what "they" are looking for as to symptoms and what you start to worry about. I believe the three key symptoms are a fever, respiratory distress as in a bad cough AND hypoxaemia since the treatment that seems to save lives is to give oxygen to the patients.

I believe patients who don't need hospitalization but have tested positive for COVID-19 and sent home to self quarantine and test themselves, are sent home with a thermometer and a Pulse Oximeter such as this amzn.to

My father died from complications of COPD so I kept his Pulse Oximeter... I got a scare when I tested my blood saturation level then saw the low battery light was on after 12 years sitting in a drawer! I replaced the battery and tested at 98% so I know my cough is not an issue of concern, yet. I also don't have a fever and it feels like a bounce from the NASTY flu/cold that I had between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since I had a flu shot, I didn't get a fever but it still wasn't fun. I'd say I feel 98% healthy and given my age is where they already advise not going near crowds, staying home today seems prudent.

I checked the WHO website for info and they suggest countries get these so if you worry.... I'd order one now at $20 is cheap to sleep well...
Oxygen therapy is the major treatment intervention for patients with severe COVID-19. All countries should work to optimize the availability of pulse oximeters and medical oxygen systems. Mortality in those with critical illness has been reported as over 50%, thus implementation of proven critical care interventions such as lung protective ventilation should be optimized.
