Christine: I don't think we are really that far apart from one another. Intellectually I sympathize with some of the concepts you express-I just don't think many of these concepts work in the real world. We can agree to disagree on that one. My focus is primarily on whether Jane Fonda and her actions can be considered patriotic when expressing her dissent. There were other forums available through which she could have expressed her views without jeopardizing American lives. To agree that what she did was patriotic would give license to Americans who've turned against their country while spying for our enemies. We should applaud these people because they felt they were patriotic in opposing our policies by aiding our enemies? I don't think so. JMO halfscot halfscot
