The implication being that there is no excuse for doing a lousy job. I am equally hard on the liberal government in Canada for having received warning from the military intelligence back in January 21 and still doing nothing. It did not require a genius to buy some masks, ventilators, etc and to do better testing and preparation for contagion. You probably don't know this, but I was tracking this before most people were. There was a TON of warnings from different quarters...from Davos in January...from hedge funds in February...from Sequoia VC in early March. And that is just from the business community. There was a lot more from intelligence services. Hell, there was the evening news that showed it all over. And the idiots just fiddled and engaged in petty bickering instead of preparing...and in case you are wondering who they are, they include Cuomo and Blasio for refusing to shutdown Manhattan and allocate land and resources for hospitals...it includes Trump and his entire cabinet...it includes Almost all the governors... This was not a black swan. It was very visible and many people anticipated it.
