I would say Dashrath Manjhi in your story that I never heard before had a "great idea" that he gave to his village. If he was more capitalistic, he might have bought land at a choke point and charged a toll to pass but he gave it to his village to help save lives.

I like the idea of "quiet dignity" or the dignity of work.

I also greatly dislike those who steal from others. Not just the crook who broke into my parents house when I was five years old and stole the watch I saved allowance and gift money to buy or the Oakland gang that stole my van and dumped all my windsurfing gear for nobody to enjoy... I also dislike Buffett selling sugar laden products to the masses or MDs over prescribing opiates for kick backs and fees to write the scripts... without regard to the health of their patients. I also dislike people selling trickery such as great market timing skills for any more than a small part of your portfolio...

We probably should celebrate more quiet dignity in this country, along the lines of Mike Rowe promoting plumbers and other skilled trades. I like how the "quiet dignity" of stocking shelves in a grocery store is far more valuable to society TODAY than Stephan Curry putting a ball through a basket from 40 feet or Taylor Swift wiggling her butt while belting out a tune.

Entertainment is very important, I sure miss basketball and will miss seeing if my 49ers can return to the Superbowl, but it isn't important for life.
