Hey Scott - I wish they would get cable modems in here but they seem to be busy using their resources wiring to a larger subscriber base. I can't blame them, they need to show a large market before the home office would ever spring the bill for all that's going to involved in going to HFC here.

If nothing else the advance of cable modems is going to spur the darn RBOCs into easing their tariff stands about xDSL and I'll take whatever comes along first if the monthly prices for the line & the ISP justify the increased bandwidth from the internet.

PS: No manholes in this neighborhood nor in most of the areas that would be considered potential subscribers. On top of that the city would expect some exhorbitant returns for allowing anyone to use what few storm sewers exist -
that's why the neighborhoods run most of the rain water down the streets for miles.
