Basic human nature always prevails.

First people reacted to not having pandemics.
Now they will react to having them.

Later, they will react to not having them again.

For something this profound, it's likely to have leave a lasting impression. Who hasn't thought of where in the house they could store 48 rolls of TP? -g-

The thing that will change people the soonest is if they reopen the country with care and we don't have super hots spots re-emerge. If it just bumps along, maybe people will learn to live with it and then get a useful vaccine when one is available.

Maybe in the long run, we'll be more British than ever before -- stiff upper lip, don't hug unless absolutely necessary, etc.

Maybe more sick people will stay at home and help everyone remain healthier and productive. But sick leave will have to become more widespread as part of a pay package.
