I wouldn't put too much stalk into what the rest of the world reports (actually, I know for a fact that the US reporting is highly under-representative too) but let me offer you this.

Let's assume that the speculative estimates of the real infection rate are correct and that in reality we have somewhere between 10 million to 50 million people infected (Win must love this part). That is 1/33 - 1/6 of the population. Out of this amount, more than 55k people have died.

This means that without a vaccine or social distancing, somewhere between 300k - 1.65Million people will die - EVEN IF the very low mortality estimates are correct and the true number of infections is much higher than the reported number.
