I personally think that Trump should have given people a choice - you can be in a lockdown for a month or two and get the government paycheck, or you can spend a month or two on cruise ship, all expenses paid + some pocket money and enjoy yourself.

This has many benefits.
  1. Aside from spending less money while saving the cruise industry,
  2. it will separate the people according to their beliefs and temperaments.
  3. It will reduce chances of armed resistance.
  4. *instantly* it will reduce the potential stress on hospitals.
  5. And possibly would have improved the gene pool for future generations...or allowed one side to gloat to the other about the great vacation they had while those guys rotted at home.


I don't think it is too late to implement this plan - so do write to your congressman ;)
