The S&P is trading at November 2019 levels. Does a flash crash cause a long term bull to turn into a bear if 30 days later, it is as though not much has happened?

Are we in a bull market or a bear market? By classical definition, the recent $SPX.X "bear" only lasted for aprox. one month and now by classical definition, that market is a bull market again. Look at the $SOX.X. at 1713.21, Bear or bull?

If you blinked your eyes, you missed the top and if you blinked your eyes, you missed the bottom. From a slightly longer term perspective, the market has been chugging sideways for two years now. The market over the past two years is a shining example of why one should be very wary of having any margin exposure.

Look at monthly charts to get a good picture.
