Hi Kirk,

My brother in law is 4 years younger than I am and I'm 3 years younger than my sister.

He was an assitant DA in a county in California. Chasing deadbeat parents not making child support.

After 25 years of employment with the state he retired on an early retirement plan at the age of 55-56.

With a law degree, he never worked a day after, while my sister worked till she was 68 ish?

Not my place to judge as the two of them are quite happy it appears.

He is however an example of a person who took full advantage of a very generous plan. For that generous of a plan to not be fully funded, and then never pursue utilising a professional degree as a lucrative second career, well let's just say I've been more concerned about his iffy situation than apparently he has been.

I do think the underfunding will result in a loss of income for the rest of his life and he'll darn well own it.IMHO

More than likely sing the blues as he claims the earliest Social Security possible. SIGH

Bob
