Believe it or not, it was at a car wash. It was when he was an owner of the Texas Rangers. There was a car wash he often frequented in Dallas and I happened to be there one day when he and the secret service agents that protected him rolled in. His father was President at the time. He didn't know me from Adam but he was very friendly to me and chatted with me. I would remember it all even had he not become Governor of Texas and later President of the US. I always used to say, "he may not be the best President we have ever had, but that is just my opinion. He is a heck of a friendly guy". And in the end, that matters more perhaps.
