Did you sell when lower than the current price?
I am kicking myself so hard for getting out of HAL too early and for not putting more money into it. This is not b/c of the missed opportunity alone, but because I had a very strong feeling about it and even showcased it to my wife about how we could make a good retirement out of it in a few years.
You may get another chance... it is testing the 2002 lows from below...

and if you sold it when higher, buying back now would still be a discount. If want to buy a stock where I missed a big bottom, I might buy a partial position now and then have an automatic buy limit order to get more on a test of some low I missed.... perhaps even breaking that down by fib levels to scale in.

I prefer my stocks that I added to after big declines into the March 23 bear market low... Some are up over 50% from those lows and are liked rather than hated by the new generation of investors that won't invest in carbon based energy related companies.
